Change your sticky note’s font and text size

How to do it

  1. Open the note’s appearance controls

Start from the note you want to change. Keep its real text in place so the preview shows a useful test.

  2. Choose a font

Try the basic free fonts first, or explore the Premium selection. Look at letters, numbers, and punctuation that occur in your own note.

  3. Adjust text size and alignment

Use the maximum text-size control and alignment options to make the note comfortable to scan. A larger maximum does not create more widget space.

  4. Check the actual widget

Return to your Home Screen and read the note at a normal viewing distance. If text is crowded, shorten it or use a larger widget before shrinking it further.

Match the typeface to the amount of text

A distinctive display font can work for a two-word reminder. A checklist with several rows usually benefits from a simpler face whose letters remain clear at smaller sizes.

Test the longest item in the list. A font that looks good with ‘Milk’ may behave differently with a long appointment instruction or a sentence containing numbers.

Text size and widget size solve different problems

Text-size controls adjust how the note uses its available space. Widget size changes that space. If your content is too long, a tiny font may fit more words while making the note less useful.

Prefer a shorter sentence or a larger placement when you can. Keep the main instruction near the beginning, so you can recognize it even when a compact layout cannot show every detail.

Check contrast and rotation together

A clear font can still become hard to read against a low-contrast background. Start with a simple color pair, then add more decorative styling only if the words stay legible.

Rotation changes the amount of horizontal room the text needs. After turning a note, check its line breaks again. For practical checklists, a level layout is often easier to scan.

Common questions

Are all fonts included for free?

The free app includes three fonts. Premium unlocks the expanded selection.

Does changing font size change the Home Screen widget size?

No. Choose the widget’s placement size separately in the system widget gallery or supported Home Screen controls.

Why does a note wrap differently on another device?

Different widget dimensions give the same text different room. Check the actual placement on each device and adjust for readability.
