How to do it

  1. Create notes for different jobs

Make a ‘Today’ note and a ‘Groceries’ note, each with a few lines of useful content. Use names you will recognize later.

  2. Add the first widget

Place a Sticky Widgets widget on the Home Screen and select ‘Today’ in its Note settings.

  3. Add a second widget

Add another Sticky Widgets widget from the gallery. Open its settings and select ‘Groceries’ instead.

  4. Arrange them around your habits

Place the most frequently used note on the Home Screen page you visit most. Move a less urgent reference note to another page if the first page becomes crowded.

Separate the job before choosing a style

A note for what you need to do today and a note for information you occasionally look up should not compete for the same space. Keeping them separate makes it easier to change one without rewriting the other.

Start with two widgets and see whether you actually read both. More visible notes can become background clutter. Move or remove placements that no longer help rather than keeping every note on the first page.

Use different notes for different content

Two placements selecting the same note will display the same content. That can be useful when you want one reminder on two Home Screen pages, but it is not how to make independent lists.

To keep separate lists, create separate notes and select them separately. Rename a note when its job changes so future widget setup remains straightforward.

Choose visibility or a stack

Separate placements keep notes visible together. A widget stack saves space, but you may have to swipe to reach a note. Use a separate placement for the instruction you want to see immediately.

Home Screen space depends on your device and other widgets. A small reference note and a medium checklist are often easier to scan than several large blocks of text.

Common questions

Is there a Premium limit on the number of widgets?

No. Unlimited Home Screen widgets are included in the free app.

Can each widget have its own appearance?

Separate notes can have separate styling. Some appearance options are free; advanced customization requires Premium.

Does removing a placement remove every copy of that note?

Removing a Home Screen widget changes that placement. Manage or archive the underlying note inside the app.
