How to do it
Write a short iPad note
Open Sticky Widgets on iPad and create a note. Name it for its purpose, such as ‘Study session,’ so it is easy to find in widget settings.
Place a widget
Open the iPad Home Screen widget gallery and find Sticky Widgets. Choose a size that fits beside your most-used apps, then add it.
Assign your note
Touch and hold the widget, open Edit Widget, and choose your note. Tap outside it to leave the configuration screen.
Check a second device if needed
To use the same note on iPhone, sign in to the same Apple Account with iCloud available to Sticky Widgets. Then choose that note in the iPhone widget’s settings.
Use the extra space for clarity
A larger screen does not mean a note needs more tasks. Use the space to make text easier to read or to show a few checklist rows without crowding them.
An extra-large widget is available on supported iPads. If that size is not offered on your device, choose a large or medium widget. Keep the most important item near the top so it remains visible in smaller layouts.
Keep a work surface and a reference note separate
A Home Screen widget is useful for the short instruction you want to return to between apps. Keep long lecture notes, detailed documents, and project material in the tools where you already work on them.
For example, display ‘Read chapter 4, solve three problems, submit the worksheet’ rather than a whole set of lecture notes. Tap the widget to change that plan when your session changes.
Sync the note, then select it on each device
iCloud sync moves your own note content between devices. Widget placement and the note you select for a particular widget still need to be set up on each device.
Sync is for devices using the same Apple Account. It is not an invitation system for classmates or a shared team document. When you need multiple people to edit one list, use a collaboration tool built for that job.
Common questions
Does the iPad app require a separate purchase?
The basic app, Home Screen notes, and iCloud sync are free. For questions about an existing Premium purchase on another device, contact support with your account and device context.
Will an iPhone widget layout appear automatically on iPad?
Set up the widget on each Home Screen and select the synced note. The note can be the same while its widget size differs.
Can I handwrite or draw on the note?
These guides cover text notes and checklists. They do not describe a handwriting, drawing, or photo-background feature.
Need a hand?
Contact Sticky Widgets support with your device, system version, and what happened. Keep private note content out of your message.
